Effects of Decaying Hydraulic Conductivity on the Groundwater Flow Processes in a Managed Aquifer Recharge Area in an Alluvial Fan

Groundwater artificial recharge and medium characteristics represent the major factors in controlling groundwater flow processes managed aquifer areas. According to depositional features of alluvial fans, an analogous homogeneous phreatic sand tank corresponding inhomogeneous scale numerical models were established investigate under combined influence (human activities) decaying hydraulic conductivity (medium characteristics). In this study, through a area fan was analyzed conditions (K) with depth or length from apex apron. The results showed that induced by significantly controlled increasing decay exponents K. K areas expanded degree on flow. With increase exponents, directions gradually changed horizontal vertical direction. age spatial variability could also be increased exponents. residence time distributions (RTDs) ambient artificially recharged water exhibited logarithmic, exponential, power law behavior.
